SOLIZE PARTNERS Corporation (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director & President: Yusuke Inoue, hereinafter referred to as "SOLIZE PARTNERS") a design engineering firm that continues to innovate digital manufacturing, and Monstarlab Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director & Group CEO: Hiroki Inagawa, hereinafter referred to as "Monstarlab" ), as “AI & Digital Partners” for empowering business transformation and new value creation through the power of AI and digital technologies announced a strategic partnership aimed at tackling long-standing challenges in the manufacturing industry.

With more than 35 years of experience in product development support, SOLIZE PARTNERS supports the entire product development process, from design to mass production, while increasing the speed, quality, and efficiency of development by making full use of 3D printers and digital technologies. On the other hand, Monstarlab, as an AI & Digital Partners, promotes the modernization of black-boxed legacy systems with their CodeRebuild AI (hereinafter referred to as CRA).
By combining the engineering strengths of SOLIZE PARTNERS, the knowledge and resources of the SOLIZE Group's manufacturing industry, and the strengths of Monstarlabs' AI solutions, we will further promote the solution of long-standing issues in the manufacturing industry.
Background of business alliances (Challenges in the manufacturing industry)
The important issues faced by the manufacturing industry include (1) Legacy systems that have become black boxes, (2) Limitations in responding to the principle of self-reliance, and (3) Difficulties in technology inheritance.
(1) When legacy manufacturing systems become black boxes, revitalizing core systems is important for facilities in Japan and overseas to address this urgent issue. Today, a significant portion of IT investment is spent maintaining critical systems that have operated for decades. Reinventing them in terms of cost, efficiency, and new growth is critical. However, due to the complexity of incorporating old programming languages, the black box and the risk judgment that tends to maintain the status quo have often put off renovation in the manufacturing industry for many years.
(2) The self-reliance principle has become a limiting factor within the manufacturing industry. For many years manufacturers have promoted design, analysis, and production preparation based on this principle. However, in recent years, the decline in cost competitiveness, the rigidity of resources, and the difficulty of ensuring quality have become apparent. Furthermore, the increase in product diversification, global expansion, and digital transformation (DX) promotion, highlights the limitations in the conventional self-reliance framework.
(3) The transfer of technology inheritance has been reliant on interpersonal communication. Despite the aging of skilled engineers, technology and expertise remain dependent on individuals, creating a black box from the perspective of training and passing on design, development, and manufacturing knowledge to the next generation. This business alliance will help solve these challenges in the manufacturing industry.
Solving Problems through Business Alliances
(1) To address the issue of "Legacy systems that have become black boxes," we will analyze and modernize the "negative assets" using AI technology, which Monstarlab is good at. This initiative will enable the visualization and reconstruction of entire systems, ultimately reduce operation and maintenance costs, and establish a sustainable foundation for future system operations.
By delivering Monstarlabs' CRA solution through the software implementation services of SOLIZE PARTNERS' Indian branch, we aim to build a global system that supports the modernization of legacy infrastructure.
(2) Addressing the limitations of the self-reliance principle, we will promote DX using Monstarlabs' AI technology in the design and development area of engineering services— particularly contract design, which is SOLIZE PARTNERS' strength. This will enable us to improve productivity and shorten lead times in areas that conventional in-house development systems have struggled with enabling transforming into a more competitive development system.
(3) To address the challenge of transferring technical expertise, we will enhance the overall productivity of engineering services by combining SOLIZE PARTNERS' design expertise with Monstarlabs' AI technology. This approach will digitize and apply AI to the expertise of skilled engineers. In addition, we plan to support the development of next generation of engineers.
Representative Director & President of SOLIZE PARTNERS Corporation Yusuke Inoue says,

This strategic partnership is rooted in the desire to further promote solutions to the manufacturing industry's problems, contributing to the growth of our clients. We would like to combine the manufacturing expertise of SOLIZE PARTNERS and the AI capabilities of Monstarlabs we aim to increase the value of our clients every day. Not only will we utilize SOLIZE PARTNERS' digital manufacturing expertise, cultivated since its founding, but also the resources of the SOLIZE Group, such as SDV, digital risk management, and software development. As two independent companies originating in Japan, we hope to increase our global presence in the overseas manufacturing market by mutually utilizing our overseas bases to support faster and more flexible global expansion than before through.
Representative Director & Group CEO of Monstarlab Inc., Hiroki Inagawa says,
